Attaching Drawer Slides. The drawer should slide in without issue. These slides can withstand loads up to 50 lbs and come in 14 16 18 20 22 and 24 lengths to fit most drawer.
Slide your drawer forward and mark your holes at the front and back of the side rail. Use a pencil to mark the place where you want to attach the slide. Then set your slide on top of the plywood and line it up closed with the front of the drawer box.
Side-mount slides typically attach centered on the drawer but other styles such as the European side-mount attach on the side of the drawer at the bottom.
With the slide aligned flush to the drawer front and bottom edge attach with a screw at the front in a vertical slot photo below and then add one at the rear. Extend the drawer slide and then screw into place in the appropriate places on the side of the drawers. If the slide does not fit unfasten screws slightly and adjust slide members. However these shouldnt be confused with a bottom-mount which does not telescope.
