Apps Not In App Drawer. To add the app drawer icon back simply press and hold on an empty space on your home screen and select Home Screen Settings The first toggle is titled Apps Button. For now though its just a minor inconvenience to not have Android Auto easily and manually accessible from the app drawer.
On my new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 I was trying to organize my app drawer by creating folders and putting apps in them inside the App Drawer NOT the Home Screen those folders seem to work just fine. To save your search term press the star icon. This looks like a kind of blue diamond or box shape.
Maybe try putting in your own icon.
On most stock Android phones you can open the app drawer by swiping up from the bottom of your home screen. Alternate app drawer where you can search for your app. Inside the widgets near the top there are the Microsoft launcher widgets. It is not a launcher Group management.
